After a bit of setup in the software was able to get it working perfectly with my logitech z-5500 speakers. Sound quality is excellent, and i can finally play games and watch movies with surround sound again. Would definitely recommend.

Very pleased with this. It worked perfectly with my linux laptop – just plug it in and it was immediately recognised as audio output, no need for any configuration or drivers. I’ve only used it for audio usb to optical, to play music from the laptop through my amp and speakers. The sound quality is great. Much better than the analogue output from the headphone jack. Highly recommended – amazing sound quality at such a low price!

You cannot use the analogue and spdif in/output at the same time. If you want to use spdif you need to instal the software and right click on the speaker and select spdif.

Works perfectly, but to use the digital output in Windows 10, it requires manual installation of the CM6206-1.09 driver. Fortunately, I was able to find it in a repository, but without that, it doesn’t have a digital output. The box was slightly damaged, but the product was in perfect condition.

I bought this to connect the game console to the TV and listen to sound with the PC. The optical input works well. It’s Windows 11, and the driver is automatically installed.

Probably the cheapest toslink out equipped usb sound card on the market. It replaced crappy alc 887 mobo codec. W10 v1809 64 bit found a driver, but with very limited functionality. After installing “cm6206-1.09_win10(qr)” driver pack, finally optical ports started working. Do not install 1.01 driver pack from bundled disc, it’s ancient! Card has a blue “usb 3.0 super speed” connector, but is detected only as an usb full-speed device (12 mbps). It should work fine with every usb 2.0 port. Adapter is well made – sturdy, high quality plastic. Connectors inside 3.5 mm ports are not gold plated. About sound quality: pcm encoded 16 bit 48 khz optical out obviously delivers crystal clear signal. What really surprised me is decent, good even, sound quality when connected to a soundbar using standard 3.5 mm cable. Even than music sounds way better than alc 887 or unidentified 2ch codec built into computer display. Most important, much lower background noise, regardless of the volume set.

It’s a good product… Optical sound transmission works well too. There is no amp function, and when using 7.1, the sound feels slightly low… It doesn’t seem to amplify much… I think I expected too much from this expensive product… If you remove the amp function, it’s the best… After installing the included drive and upgrading once more, it’s stable even with Windows 11.
