Just received my laptop in Philly only took 4 days to arrive which was super fast. The laptop runs fine, the ssd is a little slow but this laptop would sell for around $600 bucks at store here so it’s a W buy.

An excellent laptop for the price. I hope it has a very long useful life. The biggest criticism I can make is that the sound is MONO, I don’t know if the unit I received is defective, or if they are all like that. Despite this, I like the computer, it feels of very good quality, not to mention it is very light.

Corebook x 7430u Build quality is fantastic, display looks amazing! Came with firmware ab525_v00.01_0002 – 4/07/2025. Contains old cpu microcode 8608103 – 2020-july-02 (latest from amd is 8608109 – 2024-november-18). Contains agesa cezannepi-fp6 v1.0.0.9 – 2022-february-18 (latest from amd is cezannepi-fp6 v1.0.1.1a – 2024-october-31). Tpm attestation not working, ftpm firmware included (3.78.0.5) has known issues, amd fixed in 2022. The fan runs faster than needed most of the time. Secure boot was disabled in the firmware by default. Ubuntu 25.04 no problems. Backup the original windows install and make a usb recovery drive, powermodeutility (fn+space power profile) requires manual copy and running for first time, refer to recovery drive scripts. Recommend use sound driver v4.22.0.16 from microsoft catalog. When battery is empty firmware will reset to default. No battery wear or cycle reporting. System will power off before windows hibernates when battery low.

It’s so hard to find a laptop with “a” memory slot anymore but this one has “two”. For that reason alone i had buy it. And the 3:2 aspect ratio that’s another beauty. Excellent for making documents and web browsing. Couldn’t be better. Find fault? I don’t mind but the screen is like a mirror. I might as well look in the screen when i shave.

I have been with the laptop for several hours. The finishes have surprised me; the fan does make quite a bit of noise at times, but the device works quickly and for the price and what it offers, it’s very good. Another advantage is that it has easy RAM memory expansion.

Generally, the laptop is fine, everything works, compact, with Office in the package. The biggest downside is the Wi-Fi card; it works okay, but the internet speed is 3x slower than on another laptop.
