External sound card. Windows 10 driver found automatically. volume buttons work fine with standard animation display on the monitor screen. the linearity of the volume control is slightly off, but it’s important to remember that this is a budget card. I am satisfied. Thank you to the seller. I bought a sound card for the laptop – it needs simultaneous analog inputs and outputs, but there aren’t that many.

Works as 16bit 7.1 surround card on windows which provides drivers automatically. It has detection for which ports are plugged into. On linux ubuntu it is only 5.1 surround. Again, mostly automatic but may require more messing around and maybe a restart. It’s detected as “cm106 like sound device” not that the lowest volume is very high. So speakers or headphones with their own volume is nessasary. Or to use extra software. Works good for a 16bit card and good for the price. It seems to have all the features advertised.

Superb. Works on linux with 5.1 speakers, true surround sound. Good for connecting mini pc to 5.1 speakers with 3 jack to rci cables without need for amplifier or arc hdmi ectractor. Finaly cheap n100 mini pc can be full home tvpc running linux with functional 5.1 audio and hdr.

Finally, I activated all my 7.1 sounds installed from the board. control panel in the attached photos. interesting effect carousel 7.1 excellent item.

Works, but the converter d/a resulting in a low quality of sound, however the process a/d is much more reasonable and acceptable and this is the most important to me.

The spdif optical out in windows 10/11 doesn’t work out of the box. You have to look for the drive cmedia_106_(2163_2158_2154) and install it. After rebooting digital output multi channel is selectable in the audio outputs.
